Story Behind the Art:
This is a Fair Trade product, handcrafted by artisans in India. Sham covers are handmade using hand-block printing. Artisans carve these patterns on a wooden block and then stamp the block to leave a pattern on the fabric. This is a traditional art of this region. These are made in rural communities in Northwest India. Fair Trade practices ensure fair wages, no child labor, equal rights for women, preservation of traditional arts and development opportunities for these underprivileged artisans.
