Hello Everyone! I just purchased this blouse from Great Offer Stock and can't wait to wear it in the Spring.
It's actually lovelier than in the photo. The designer really did a quality job...the trim is gorgeous.
Three shades of yarn are used in the geometric design: deep chocolate brown, cinnamon brown and a champagne beige...very nice combo. All of the tassels hanging from the sleeves and bottom, is in the champagne beige.
When seen in person, the fabric is sort of a dusty bone shade...hard to describe. It is not a 'cream' or off-white color like it appears in the photo. It is a waffle-weave pattern in a completely natural, sandy-beach shade....as if it's still the original color the fabric was when it was weaved from cotton.
The fabric itself it VERY soft and light. Another reviewer mentioned that it was rough. The designer may have changed fabric since then, because it's very, very soft.
As others have mentioned, it runs a big. There was no small available and I am a small or medium depending on how things are sized. The 'medium' I purchased is a little big on me. Since it's cotton, I'm hoping I can shrink it a bit by hand-washing in hot water. I would NEVER put this in a washing machine, by the way, you might ruin the beautiful embroidery.
Even if it doesn't shrink, I will enjoy it anyway....this would sell for a LOT more in those itty-bitty boutiques...they'd want 100 no doubt.
The wide, decorated waist-band at the bottom, can be worn in different ways, I've found. If you have a small waist, it's would be nice worn higher to accentuate that. Or, if you have a wider waist, it would be more flattering to pull the waist-band over your hips.
I hope this has been helpful!! Happy Shopping!
