and i can wear it! it's my warmest 'coat' and yet soo much more than that. i open it up and use it for a blanket when i'm at my laptop or in front of the tv. ohhs and ahhhs whenever i wear it out. it's admired everywhere i go. and i love to tell people the story behind it. i think it's worth more than what i paid for it. yes, i'm sure of that. i'm also a fiber artist. i also spin wool, alpaca, lama, silk, etc. i knit and crochet and just now getting into weaving. as a handspinner going on twenty years now, i know quality handspun when i see it. can't say enough good things about this poncho. it's the real deal folks, not some mass produced sweat shop piece of department store crap. thank you, thank you, thank you, faustino maldonado for keeping your family traditions alive! i love your family motto, 'I will never let go of either my grandfather or grandson's hands, for what I have learned from the elders, I will teach to the young.' that is soo beautiful! i feel beautiful when i wear the 'road to huancayo' poncho! naturally i've looked up the actual road to huancayo and hope to visit someday.
