Story Behind the Art:
Individually handcrafted by artists on the exotic islands of Bali and Java in beautiful Indonesia. Artists and their predecessors have been creating sarongs for centuries and are well known throughout the world for their skill, creativity and expertise. Specifically their skills in batik, which many of our sarongs are made using this art of batik. Batik is a design method that has been employed for centuries and is handed down from generation to generation, usually from a father to son or mother to daughter. Each batik sarong is a work of art and can take hours and sometimes days to create depending on the difficult of the design.
