After purchasing a desk from the Tribecca Home line, I saw this unit as a piece that could coordinate with what I had. I read the Reviews and made the purchase. The product came ahead of schedule. The shelves are where most of the weight is found. The set up was very simple. While I could have done it alone, I was happy to have help. This was a great purchase!

Sturdy but problems in shipping and quality Shelf arrived slightly damaged but serviceable. Seems pretty sturdy and the wood feels like it won't warp under heavy weight. OK quality for the price but cheap construction and not perfect. OK for the family room but not for the Living room.

Great shelf and easy to assemble! Great shelf that really adds a sophisticated look to my living room. Easy to assemble but definitely needs two people to move it. It almost knocked me over as I was trying to move it in place.

Nice look - but tough to build I was pleased with the price and look of this unit. Only some of the pieces were labeled so it was difficult to put the right piece together and I had to take it apart and redo it half way through. You need two people and a pair of pliers to straighten out the soft metal braces that had mashed up angles. After a couple of hours and a few words I don't usually use - I had a bookcase I liked the looks of.

Great professional furniture store quality! From a bird's eye view on Great Offer Stock this piece is a bit expensive considering the amount of raw materials involved. However the wooden boards are very heavy and high quality, I'd never believe they were not 1 piece real wood. It was very easy to assemble using only 1 single kind of screw, and it was up and running within 1hr!

Overall, great for the money, but some defects We bought four of these shelving units plus the low console for our tv. They were certainly easy to assemble, and seem relatively sturdy, but I will say that I was a little disappointed when they arrived. On 3 out of 5 units, we had to use pliers to reshape the steel so that the pieces would fit together. In some cases it was evident that the shipper had dropped the box, crushing the metal, in others, it seemed like a manufacturing oversight. Now that they're assembled, I'm happy, and believe that they'll hold up over time, but that's still to be determined. I am disappointed when I walk by the shelves that the places we had to pry the metal are visible. On another note, depending on what you're shelving, book ends are essential!

Poor Quality Bookshelf The metal rods that make up the structure are bent and poorly welded together; barely fitting together and looking crooked once assembled. The paint is chipping in a few place as seen in the third picture. The caps that that close off the stand were either broken or fitted loosely enough to fall out. The bookshelf is of such poor quality. I would like to dissuade everybody from purchasing this shelf, the poor quality is very visible and not worth the money. Nothing would please me more then returning this shelf and getting at least a partial refund.

I purchased 2... ... and am resisting the urge to buy more. I was planning on using them in the basement for toy storage but ended up putting them in my family room. They make lovely book cases and I get complimented on them frequently.

Honestly, I think these bookshelves are gorgeous! We are using one in our kitchen to boost storage space . Our dishes etc look really great on them. As well as being extremely attractive, solid furniture, they are such a help in our small kitchen. The other two we purchased are in our living room holding lots of our books.The lower shelves we have reserved for our record player and collection of LPs and our CD player, and speakers. This has been an awesome purchase for our home.
