very nice -- heavy duty frame with comfortable mattress. Only problem was one side rail has small dent in it. Not worth returning.

Took about 2 hours to put together, so be prepared. Really like it though. I was concerned about the sturdiness/usefulness of the folding trays on the arms, but there was no reason to be. I use them all the time to hold a cup of tea and a book and I have no reason to worry about them collapsing.

Love this futon. The frame is very solid and the mattress is firm and comfortable.

Love it! I am very happy with my new honey oak full-size futon! Not only is it well made and sturdy, it is a beautiful addition to my living room plus now I have another nice bed for my family and friends when they stay the night

Looks as good or better than the photo. Its a little heavier than the traditional metal futon so its hard for one person to maneuver back into the upright position after you lay it down. But it is much nicer overall, sturdier, nicer looking, better put together than a cheaper metal futon. The arm rest 'tables' that can by put up or folded down are sturdy and very useful. Those are tied for my favorite feature with the mattress which itself is so much better than a traditional futon mattress. It has springs and is very comfortable to sleep on. I was worried it wouldn't fold well in the upright position but it works out great. Overall 5 stars. I love this thing and would definitely recommend it.

Very nice! Easy assembly and super comfy for guests.

I am converting a small room under the eaves of our house into a guest room and needed a bed that would fit in a small space but also allow me to use it as a retreat. This totally fits the bill. The wood is a lovely light cherry color. I got the peat color mattress and it's basically a taupe color. The color online is accurate. The cover is very soft and the mattress is shockingly comfortable. I haven't slept on it but I've sat on it and laid on it and it's very comfortable. The futon set arrived in 3 large boxes. I opened them on the first floor and carries the pieces upstairs in a few trips. That was easier than atruggling with the heavy boxes. It took about 2.5 hours to put together but I did it by myself without any trouble-- just had to read the directions very carefully. The pieces are well marked and even color coded so it's kind of dummy proof. My husband helped me put the deck onto the frame and that's definitely a 2 person job. It lays down and sets back up very easily. It looks great and I look forward to hosting guests. I bought some anti-slip tape from an online futon store to put on the deck to prevent the mattress from slipping. So far so good. Very happy!!

Things to know: Firm mattress. A firm pillow is useful for supporting the head on such a mattress. Perhaps it will soften over time and use. Two people needed to slide back up to sitting position. I am an average woman, and I can't lift and slide it into position. I am very happy with its weight and sturdiness, however, so this is not a problem. The mattress is a little finicky about folding into the sitting position. It tends to fold where the seat is longer than the backside, so I adjust it. Again, this might be solved with time and use. I am very satisfied with this piece of furniture. I think it will last a very long time.

First of all, I have never assembled anything in my life and I was able to do this whole thing on my own with the exception of popping the rollers into the grooves. Instructions were clear and concise (I was missing one screw, though, but it did not affect the ruggedness of this couch. I absolutely love this thing! It is beautiful and easy to work. It has three settings: flat, lounge (maybe 40 degrees) and regular couch. The shelves are a beautiful addition and the honey oak is a gorgeous color. The futon is even comfortable! I was used to sleeping on a high end memory foam mattress but I had no trouble getting comfortable and falling asleep quickly on this. I got the "olive color" and it is more of a brown, but no complaints. I would absolutely buy it again!

This futon is really nice! The wood is very rich looking and the cushion I'd comfortable. Haven't used it as a bed yet but am sure it will also be comfortable! Took awhile to put together it does help to have two people!

The completed futon is really beautiful. The mattress is amply thick, covered with a high quality sueded fabric -- the beautifully honey-colored wood looks wonderful in my guest room. The size is perfect as well. Expect three boxes to arrive, and this is solid wood, so they'll be heavy. As others have mentioned in their reviews, assembly is challenging. I worked with someone who is doing contractor work at my home, and it took us almost three hours. Once together, though, I am SO happy with it. No trouble putting it into the sitting position. LOVE IT!

Futon exactly like picture. Looks great in my sunroom. Cushion very comfortable and was assembled according to directions, without problems.

we've had it for a few months, its been used several times as a bed and the guests have reported its quite comfortable. Not a cheap frame or mattress, we are very happy

For the price I expected the wood to be heavier and the mattress to be thicker but it was decent quality nevertheless ... the box did arrive damaged, no blemishes on the interior, I did find myself missing one bolt that I will now have to find in a hardware store

We bought the olive color. Delivered on date promised! 2 not so handy women assembled this in 2 hours. quality of frame and mattress superb! when the directions say," do not tighten the arms to stretcher", < we missed this step> they mean it. It is the only way to get the mattress frame to fit into the slots, then tighten. It stays in the seated position as intended and coverts to bed position easily. No one has slept on it yet, but sitting is very comfortable. There is a smell to the mattress,but I'm sure with time it will dissipate. Fabric covering feels durable.

It took us about two hours to put together, but aside from that this futon is beautiful. The wood is very good quality, & the mattress is as well. Love the end tables that can flip up & down -- very convenient for the small sun room we have. I would definitely recommend!
