Nice Quality - A Little Too Firm Overall, this was a good value compared to local purchase options. While they are calling this mattress "Super Pillowtop" the firmness is more than the title would lead one to believe. First couple of nights sleeping caused me and my wife to crawl out of bed with sore backs. This was remedied by using the 3 inch topper from our old mattress. Seems okay now, but will re-evaluate prior to 30 day return period. As another reviewer indicated the shipping company refused to remove the old mattress. As I indicated to Great Offer Stock Customer service, I feel a little misled as the shipping description clearly stated set up and removal of old mattress. Upon complaint to O, I received the following response, "Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with the mattress you received. There are multiple options you can choose from with disposal of the mattress. You can take the mattress to your local city dump, you can donate the mattress." Seriously! I would expect more from O than this pitiful response. Oct 28 2017 Update - Okay nearly two years later, wife and I are still satisfied with this purchase. Yes, we are still using a foam topper. Mattress is still working solid with no issues. I would think the biggest thing to mention is that I toss and turn when sleeping. My wife cannot feel me flopping back and forth through the night and sleeps soundly. Also, I must mention that after several e-mails back and forth, O Customer Service eventually addressed the mattress removal issue to my satisfaction. Thumbs up to O for taking care of a regular customer.

"What does the low/standard profile mean"

That indicates the thickness of the foundation underneath the mattress. I got the low profile which is 5.5" high and the standard is 9" high. Depends on if you want the matrass to sit high or not. It's 14" with out the support underneath.

This is an extra tall mattress so the low profile box springs makes for a regular height bed. The standard box spring would make a very tall bed. You would only want the standard if you are placing it on a low profile bed frame or on the floor. On a regular bed frame it's still a few inches taller with the low profile box springs.

The foundation is the box spring. This set is mattress and box spring, no frame.

This must be a misprint. The mattress itself will always be 14 inches thick. Low profile is referring to the foundation height. The normal foundation is 9 inches and if you order low profile it means the foundation will be 5.5 inches high. Don't know where they got 17.5 because neither add up to that height. Hope this helps!
