it is better than what we had although not what they say it is, we got a 12 inch and we should have gotten an 8 inch as we are using it on a boat. if you are using it in a tight space make sure it is oriented right before you open the package

Comfy mattress
This mattress is quite comfortable. It smells a little when you first open it and let it unfold itself. It is recommended to let it air out a day or two before using it, but I was in a hurry. The only complaint I have is that it does not have handles which make it tough to move around. This would be a problem when moving homes or flipping the mattress. I like the firmness of it which was surprising for a gel memory foam mattress. I recommend it if you need an inexpensive mattress in a hurry!

Finally a great nights sleep
I have had memory foam mattresses before and had been debating getting a brand I did not know, and the price was great, too good to be true, no, it was a great deal. I purchased a furnished condo several months ago and the bed looked just about brand new. It was a regular spring mattress and super firm. I just could not get a good nights sleep. When this mattress arrived, actually a couple of days faster than promised, yippie, I opened it immediately and put it on the box spring I already had in place. It started to "grow" immediately. I decided to try to sleep on it the first night, even though it had not yet been ever 24 hours. Hurray, it was wonderful. When I first laid down it felt a bit firm, but if you had memory foam before you know it takes a few minutes for your body temperature to soften the memory foam and conform to your body. I am a side sleeper mostly, and it was terrific to wake up and not have my hip or shoulder hurt. It has only been 2 nights but I am thrilled and the fantastic price makes me even happier.

Not sure what an adjustable bed is, but if you mean the type of bed that allows you to lift the head or foot, my answer is no. This is a very comfortable mattress for a regular queen bed.
