    i don't believe the glass is treated to stay clear. We have very hard water in our home and the water doesn't leave a film after each use I wipe the glass doors dry. We get lot of compliments on our shower door.

    The AquaFold is one of our European style doors that does not meant to span the entire width of your opening. The amount of water that you will have that splashes out depends on a few factors, including water pressure, angle of your shower head and showering habits.   "I have a 44" opening. Is there any reason this will not work with there just being a larger opening between the curved part of door and wall to the right? Also, the description says it is a bifold, but it looks to me that the first full piece of glass does not pivot and only the second curved piece pivots, is that right? If so, what is the width of each piece of glass? Thanks so much."

    It will work fine with a larger opening. Mine is 37 3/4" so there's a little room between the end of the glass and the wall. This effectively blocks all the "splash back." It is truly bi-fold--it is presently folded flat against the back wall of my shower. Both pieces of glass pivot. The largest piece of glass is 15 3/8" and the smallest 14 3/4". This shower door is both functional and beautiful. I recommend it!

    Hello glenwood_girl, The AquaFold is 33.5 inches wide so the base featured in the photo is most likely a 36 inches x 36 inches single threshold base such as item# 14940516. I hope that helps. Thank you for shopping with us.

    Hello Alicia, this shower door is actually tempered glass which makes the glass four to five times stronger and safer than annealed or untreated glass. As a result, tempered glass is less likely to experience a thermal break. Thanks for shopping with us!
