very contemporary I absolutely love this bookcase. The first one came with some of the glass broken. We heard it just moving the box, the shattered glass was sifting through the box. I called Great Offer Stock they were excellent, sent me a replacement immediately. When that was delivered, no sounds of shattered glass was coming from the box, so we were happy. We put it together it was fairly easy. It looks dynamite in my room. I put matching baskets on each shelf for added storage. This shelving definitely compliments the room

Do not order this item Its been over a month since i ordered this item - first time it was delivered the package contained broken glass due to broken glass shelves - i had to go to the bother of having it returned and ordered a replacement which had one broken glass shelf which I asked to be replaced and was told the whole item would need to be replaced so agreed and item was delivered for the 3rd time and yes you guessed it with broken glass shelves again!!!. I asked for a full refund and a week later have not received a response from Great Offer Stock. This has been the worst shopping experience of my life

Hi chicago2011, after reviewing with our support staff, we found that; 1. yes, the highest point can be either on the left or the right. 2. Four (4) glass panels are included, there are no backings on the squares. There is a total of six (6) squares, but only two (2) of the four (4) sides are glass.3. Yes, the glass is tempered.
