Lush and gorgeous I was extremely and pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. I had tried to find out information on the "Mandara" brand without success. I understood the reason when I saw the actual label on the back of the rug. It is an upscale and more more expensive label. I can see why they do not want to advertise a rug from this brand at that price since it is sold for much much more on other discount websites, not to mention regular retail. The rug is lush and gorgeous. Yes, there is tinsel in a discreet and whimsical way. In a modern decor, it provides just the right amount of fun and shine. With classic old world furniture it would look ridiculous. In my home it looks great and I have another large 9 x 13 rug from the same brand and line but in a dark taupe in another part of the living room. This one is in the dining area. I was not afraid of the tinsel since I already had some but I never expected this rug from Overtock to be of the same quality. Overall, I am delighted.

Very plush This carpet was a Christmas gift for our grand daughter & her family. They are extremely pleased with the quality and the little ones especially love the softness when they lay on it to watch TV or play games. It makes their living room come alive with beauty and the size was perfect. We bought a similar one a couple of years ago in a much smaller size & everyone who sees it loves it. I wish now we had one this size!

Run!!! Unless you want to buy a special rug that you only bring out for christmas time, then "maybe" consider this rug. It is HORRIBLE! The picture does not show what it really looks like. It has this bright christmas tinsel in it. I seriously laughed hysterically after receiving it! i had to fold it up right away. It's ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and save yourself $50.00 for a return label!

Why is there silver plastic in this thing???!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I wish I'd read the one review that was on here there is indeed silver tinsel like Christmas woven into this whole rug. I'm still trying to decide if we can live w it. But I'm sure I can't send it back now bc it sat wrapped in our garage for 2 weeks waiting for our move. When we finally unrolled it my boyfriend said it reminded him of the 70s shag carpet meets disco. I really don't understand why the description leaves out this obvious deciding factor for purchase... And the picture does not indicate silver in it either. I did get beige though and it doesn't look pewter colored though as the other reviewer said. Only reason I gave it a 1 instead of a 0. When I'm spending over $**** I want to know important information like silver tinsel throughout.

Note: Silver Tinsel! Although the sheen of this rug is very beautiful, as seen in the photo... be careful, the rug I received actually had SILVER TINSEL sewn all throughout. As in, Christmas tinsel. It was very obviously a different model than this picture. It is still very well-made, and nice & soft. Though the silver is done tastefully and would look nice in the right room...it is NOT the same as the description! Also, "beige" is not the correct color description for this rug -- the "beige" rug is actually a medium-toned grey/pewter (as shown in the picture - the picture's color is true to form)
